Ethan is 16!

Ethan's actual birthday was on Sunday. We ate omelets after church, and noodle casserole topped with potato chips. For his birthday treat he picked cream puff cake topped with strawberries. All of it so delicious. I made him some of his favorite cinnamon chip bread too.

Ethan's annual birthday beach trip to Galveston

We had a lovely day at the beach. We arrived in the afternoon, and stayed until the sun went down. The weather was perfect and the water was clear. We ate at Ethan's favorite Brewchacho's. Watched a few minutes of Star Wars, the outdoor movie they were playing, and headed home to watch his pick of the new Mario movie.

Dog Pound Cross Country Meet

Due to a football conflict, Luke wasn't able to do the time trial for the first meet of the season. He had to run in the open division. One huge advantage of that was that he won first place by almost a minute! He led the pack the whole 2 miles! Finishing with a time of 12:11. His old coach from last year, Coach E was there. It was a happy reunion! Luke's friend James is on the team, so that's been fun for Luke.

Luke's 14th Birthday

We started Luke's birthday celebrations with a hang-out on Saturday night. He invited school, neighborhood and church friends. They swam and played football, ate pizza and watched a movie.

Sunday- Luke's dinner choice Favorite Dinner

A tropical storm was set to roll in Tuesday evening. So all the activities got cancelled- Football Game and Young Mens. It meant that we had time to celebrate Luke some more on his actual birthday. We ate favorite dinner again, and ate his requested brownies and 1905 vanilla ice cream from HEB.
The storm turned into nothing, but they cancelled school on Wednesday before they knew the storm was moving south. It meant Luke also got a movie night on Tuesday night for his birthday. No one was complaining around here.

Go-Carts

Luke and Dad joined forces for their family birthday activity. We went Go-Carting. Dad won by a landslide.  Mom won the slowest, by a landslide.

Dinner- Luke's choice In and Out

Feels like Summer

Working hard

Summer movie nights on mom and dad's bed... who knew it would be so much fun to have a tv in our rom? When the Hansen's moved, they gave us their tv. The Astro's games are now almost all exclusively watched from this perch.

Playing hard! We went to Big Air trampoline park with the Tolman and stayed until they kicked us out! We rolled to Sam's Club for lunch and home for swimming, video games and a movie. The perfect summer day with friends.

School has started, but it still feels like summer!

One last Splash Town Hurrah

Came across an old Christmas List of Logan's.  Looks like I didn't do a post last Christmas with their lists... so it gets a should out now!
